State Assemblyman and State Senate candidate James Skoufis (D-Woodbury) received an important local endorsement from the Orange County Correction Officers Benevolent Association (COBA). As a member of the Assembly, Skoufis has supported safer working conditions, opposed the misguided plan to provide free iPads to inmates and has opposed the closing of area prisons which leads to overcrowding.
State Assemblyman and State Senate candidate James Skoufis (D-Woodbury) said, “I am proud to have this local support from our valued Orange County Correctional Officers. These men and women put themselves in harms way each day to ensure that we as civilians are safe as we go about our days. That is why as State Senator I will continue my commitment to supporting safer working conditions and resources for our officers.”
Rafael Marquez, President of the Orange County Correction Officers Benevolent Association said,“James Skoufis is the person we need to ensure our correctional facilities are safe and secure. He understands the crucial jobs our officers face each day and their importance to the community as a whole. We are proud to endorse James Skoufis for State Senate.”
