MONTICELLO – A Napanoch man was arrested following an investigation into the sale of narcotics in Sullivan County.
Authorities said Rasean K. Mack, age 33, was the subject of an investigation by the New York State Police, the City of Port Jervis Police Department, the Monticello Police Department, and the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office.
On July 26, 2018, a search warrant was executed at Mack’s residence located at 27 Nappy Lane in Napanoch by the participating agencies.
Mack was taken into custody within the residence.
A search of the residence allegedly yielded a large amount of heroin, cash, prescription pills, packaging material, scales, and a cutting agent, said authorities.
Rasean Mack was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, Class B Felonies, Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Class E Felony, two counts Criminal Possession of a Controlled substance in the 7th degree, Class A Misdemeanors, and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor.
He was arraigned before Town of Wawarsing Justice Wayne Lonstein and remanded the Ulster County Jail on $50,000 cash bail, $100,000 bond.
