Search for Man Missing in Hudson River Continues

POUGHKEEPSIE – The search continued Wednesday morning about 8 a.m. by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police for 49-year-old Paul P. Moschitta of Poughkeepsie, who went missing in the Hudson River on Tuesday, said Lieutenant Shawn Castano of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s office.

Marine patrol officers conducted surface searches and underwater searches utilizing sonar technology.

Despite the inclement weather, search efforts were not hindered and continued for nine hours today.

As of 5 p.m., the search was temporarily suspended.

On Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 8 a.m., the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the Dutchess County Regional Underwater Search and Recovery Team are scheduled to resume the search for the missing man and continue to assist the City of Poughkeepsie Police with this investigation.
