WHITE PLAINS – Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced that Charles Burks of Yonkers has been arraigned on Murder in the second degree (a Class A Felony) and other charges in Westchester County Court in the killing of Dymere Graham, 30, on Riverview Place in Yonkers.
The defendant pleaded not guilty before Judge Larry J. Schwartz.
The indictment alleges that on the evening of Dec. 7, 2017, Burks shot Graham in the buttocks during a robbery.
Yonkers police found the victim dead just before 8 p.m. in the alleyway between two buildings on Riverview Place.
With the use of building security video, police identified the alleged suspects fleeing the scene.
Burks faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
Co-defendant Kentrell Hill, also charged with Murder in the second degree, was arraigned on Feb. 8, 2017 on this indictment.
Burks is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 28, 2018.
