DOVER – Brent A. Latham, age 36 of New Milford, Conn., was arrested on Jan. 11, 2018, following an investigation into a burglary that was reported on Weil Rd. in the Town of Dover, August of 2016.
New York State Police said two metal detectors, a Husqvarna chainsaw, and a Ruger .357 handgun were reported stolen.
During the course of the investigation, several leads were followed including the examination of a piece of a torn latex glove that had been recovered at the scene, said authorities.
Lab analysis of the latex glove revealed a DNA match to suspect, Brent Latham, who was incarcerated in the State of Connecticut, added authorities.
As a result of the investigation, Latham was arrested in the State of Connecticut as a Fugitive of Justice and extradited to New York State.
He was charged with Burglary in the 2nd degree, a class C felony.
Latham was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Abrams of the Town of Dover Court and was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
