FISHKILL – On Jan. 8, 2018 the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Daniel J. Statini, age 27, of Beacon, following a complaint received of a domestic dispute that occurred Jan. 3, 2018 on Glenwood Drive in the city of Beacon.
Investigation alleges Statini assaulted, strangled, unlawfully imprisoned the victim and also robbed the victim of $120 in his residence.
Statini also allegedly took the victim’s cell phone to prevent a call for help at the time of the incident.
He was charged with Robbery in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, Strangulation in the 2nd degree, a class D felony, Assault in the 3rd degree, Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd degree, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree (preventing an emergency call), all class A misdemeanors.
Statini was arraigned before the town of Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear before the court at a later date to answer the charges.
