TOWN OF WASHINGTON – On Dec. 5, 2017 the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Max N. Sandmeier, age 50, of Newburgh, for Bail Jumping the 2nd degree, a class E felony.
Officials said Sandmeier was originally arrested on Mar. 2, 2017 for Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, Identity Theft in the 1st degree, and Falsifying Business Records in the 1st degree.
Sandmeier pled guilty to Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree and then failed to appear for future court dates.
He was arraigned before the town of Washington justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
Sandmeier will appear before the town of Washington Court at a later date to answer the charge.
