NEW WINDSOR, NY – The annual Orange County Partnership Networking event had plenty to celebrate Tuesday evening at Anthony’s Pier 9. In the past year, the Partnership assisted in generating close to $700 million in capital investments throughout Orange County. Those investments are expected to create over 1800 local jobs.
Small to large businesses and commerce are responsible for the positive numbers in growth including the obvious big additions to the county like Legoland, McKesson Pharmaceutical, Norwegian Air, Amy’s Kitchen, Amerisource Bergen Pharmaceuticals, and others.
“We’re the economic development office for the region”, said Partnership President Maureen Halahan. “We’re largely private sector driven and this is a celebration of all the new projects we have here in Orange County.
Close to 750 business owners and influences gathered for the annual event to network, share ideas and stories, and just to catch up.
The evening included two hours of networking, a message from Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul, and an award recognition to a few of the businesses for their role in the economic development within the county.
