HIGHLAND – A LaGrangeville man was arrested in connection with a stabbing incident at 4:30 a.m. in the Town of Plattekill on Dec. 3, according to New York State Police.
Following a report of two people at an area hospital who were being treated for stab wounds, State Police at Highland charged Jovan A. Wilkins, age 25, with Assault in the First Degree, a Class B Felony.
As a result of an investigation, police determined a large house party had taken place on Jorge Lane in the Town of Plattekill. When the party was dispersing, a physical fight occurred resulting in injuries.
Wilkins was arraigned before the Honorable Robert W. Murphy in the Town of Plattekill Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of bail.
