POUGHKEEPSIE – The City of Poughkeepsie will be hosting a public open house to discuss existing downtown parking conditions and initial strategies to improve parking.
Local residents, business owners and others are invited to stop by and learn more about the Downtown Parking Improvement Plan and speak with local staff and national parking experts. Light refreshments will be served.
The Open House will be held at Mid Hudson Heritage Center, 317 Main Street, Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The public open house is part of the Downtown Parking Improvement Plan, a planning project conducted jointly by the City of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County Transportation Council and a consulting team.
The plan is intended to identify ways to ensure that the downtown parking system is being operated and managed in an efficient and effective manner.
This project is funded through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) as part of the Transportation Council’s metropolitan planning program.
