YORKTOWN – Yorktown Police report the arrest of four males in connection with an armed robbery at a Wells Street residence.
On Nov. 5 just before 6 p.m. Yorktown Police responded to a dispute at a residence on Wells Street.
Police were met by the victim who told officers he was just robbed by four males who brandished several handguns while fleeing the scene, according to officials.
Both the Patrol and Detective Divisions conducted an on-going investigation over the course of several days.
On Nov. 9, officials said with the assistance of the Westchester Aviation Unit, three of the defendants were taken into custody without incident by Yorktown Police.
The fourth defendant was taken into custody at his residence on Nov. 10.
All were charged with one count of 1st degree Robbery, a class B felony.
All four defendants were processed at Yorktown Police Headquarters and arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo, who issued a Temporary Order of Protection for the victim.
A 17-year-old from Putnam Valley and an 18-year-old from Mohegan Lake were remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail. ]
A 19-year-old from Yorktown Heights was released on $10,000 cash bail and a 17-year-old from Cortlandt Manor was released on $1,000 cash bail.
All of the defendants are due back in Yorktown Justice Court at a later date to answer the charge.
