MIDDLETOWN – Orange Regional Medical Center and Catskill Regional Medical Center will present a free and informative diabetes program, “Hello, Diabetes Calling”, on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The seminar will take place at Orange Regional Medical Center’s Outpatient Building, located at 707 East Main Street in Middletown.
According to the American Diabetes Association, over 30.3 million Americans – 9.4% of the population – have diabetes. Diet, insulin and oral medication to lower blood glucose levels are the foundation of diabetes treatment and management. Patient education and self-care practices are also important aspects of disease management that help people with diabetes lead normal lives.
Diabetes educators and experienced physicians knowledgeable about diabetes will be on hand to discuss topics such as Questions About Diabetes?

Guest speakers will include Elliott Friedman, MD, FACE; Manager of Emergency Management Robin M. Masiero; and Inpatient Diabetes Clinical Manager, Laurie Porcaro, MS-DEDM, RN, CDE BC-ADM, CDTC.
