MONTGOMERY – State Police at Montgomery in conjunction with Troop F Community Stabilization Unit conducted an investigation into suspicious activity at a local motel in the Town of Montgomery.
The investigation, which included a search warrant being executed at the local motel, resulted in the confiscation of alleged heroin, cocaine, crack-cocaine and marijuana, and arrest of two individuals, according to officials.
Arrested were Dwayne Wallace, age 53, of Newburgh, and Kathleen Delucia, age 23, of Montgomery.
Both were charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, (Class B Felony); Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, (Class C Felony); and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, (Violation). In addition, Ms. Delucia had two active warrants from the Town of Newburgh and City of Newburgh Courts respectively.
Officials added it was also determined that Wallace was currently on parole for previous drug related charges.
Both Wallace and Delucia were arraigned in the Town of Montgomery Court by Town Justice Frederick Gorss.
Delucia was remanded to Orange County Jail with bail being set at $35,000.00 cash or $75,000.00 bond.
Wallace was remanded to Orange County Jail with no bail being set.
The two are scheduled to reappear in the Town of Montgomery Court at a later date.
