KINGSTON – Amanda Costa has been awarded the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union Chairman’s Award for TALENT, announced Gary Anderson, Chairman of the Board.
Anderson maintains the value of the award is to encourage employees to go above and beyond, and acknowledge employees’ dedication and commitment to MHV.
TALENT is an acronym that represents the winning attributes of Top Performance, Availability, Leadership, Energy, New Vision and Teamwork.
The Chairman presented Amanda with the award to the applause of directors and management at the August 23 board meeting.
“MHV is very proud of its employees for their daily commitment to both internal and external member service,” says Anderson. “It’s important to let employees know just how much they contribute to the success of the credit union by awarding those who consistently make the extra effort to go above and beyond.”
Amanda Costa began her career with MHV 4 years ago as a Personal Teller Representative and has since progressed to a Training Specialist. As a Training Specialist, she is responsible for educating new and current employees on MHV products and services and training the new employees on their roles.
Amanda takes each and every task on with an open mind, always with the goal of helping those around her learn. She is available to work around new hires’ schedules and willing to travel to branch locations for additional support. Amanda played a pivotal role in the transformation of forms used by our front line, which simplified the process.
As Amanda’s manager, Shannon Gelles states, “Amanda worked diligently to train our platform staff on HELOC closings. She dedicated time and effort to a topic that she knew little about, and was able to share the knowledge and build a class from the ground up. I can always count on her to tackle a project, and see it to completion.”
Amanda is a graduate of Kingston High School and SUNY Cortland. She currently resides in Hurley.
