STANFORD –  New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Bank of Millbrook Stanfordville Branch, located at 11 Hunns Lake Road, in the Town of Stanford, according to authorities.

On August 7, 2017, at approximately 1:13 p.m., an unidentified male subject entered the bank, displaying what appeared to be a handgun, and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect fled the bank on foot and is believed to have entered a light-colored crossover or SUV type vehicle, added authorities.

The suspect is described by police as a white male between 25 and 35 years old, 5’10” tall, wearing a dark colored winter cap, winter coat, dark colored pants, blue latex type gloves, a surgical mask, and sun glasses.
