CLARKSTOWN – The Clarkstown Police Department arrested Chad Weinstein, 33, of Spring Valley, on August 2, 2017, for the theft of construction tools from a work truck.
According to authorities, the Clarkstown Police originally responded to a report of theft from a truck while parked in a parking lot on Squadron Blvd. in New City on June 22, 2017.
The victim was working on a machine for a local business when the alleged suspect approached the victim’s truck and stole several tools from the back of the truck.
The Clarkstown Detective Bureau was able to obtain video evidence of the crime, said authorities.
The stolen tools were valued at $5,000.
Weinstein turned himself in to the detective investigating the case and was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd (felony).
Chad Weinstein was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court. He was released on his own recognizance.
