POUGHKEEPSIE – Family Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Melissa Massarone as Coordinator of Advocacy with the agency’s Center for Victim Safety and Support (CVSS).
Melissa joins the program leadership team of Leah Feldman, Director, Kathy Peluso, Coordinator of Training and Outreach and Nicole Wong, Coordinator of Advocacy, in leading Family Services efforts to provide assistance to individuals and families who have been victims of sexual assault, domestic violence or other crimes.
In her role as Coordinator of Advocacy, Melissa will provide overall coordination and oversight of daily program activities as well as provide supervision and guidance to CVSS staff. Melissa has significant experience working with domestic violence and crime victims and has been with Family Services (and the Center for Victim Safety and Support) for 5 years in the roles of victim advocate and Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART) advocate for the City of Poughkeepsie and the Town of Hyde Park.
