POUGHKEEPSIE – Rhinebeck Bank announces that Freddimir Garcia has joined their Board of Directors.

Freddimir Garcia

A graduate of Marist College, Garcia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Marist with a Financial Management concentration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing with minors in both Advertising and Spanish.

Garcia is currently the Special Assistant to the President for Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement at Marist College. He provides leadership, innovation, and vision to promote diversity and inclusion among all constituents of the College. He is also responsible for serving as a liaison to the immediate external community. He serves as lead staff member to the College’s Diversity Council, and is program director of the Academic Enrichment Scholars Program.

Garcia is also extremely active in the Hudson River Valley, serving on a number of boards including the Catharine Street Community Center, Family Services, Inc., Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, and is an advisory board member of the Hudson Valley Young Professionals.

On campus, Garcia is a founder of the Marist Young Professionals and is head coach of the Marist College Club Basketball Team. He has received numerous awards and honors including the Forty Under 40 Shaker Award, New York’s Latino Forty Under 40 Rising Star Award, and he was the Commencement Speaker for the Metropolitan High School Class of 2013.

Given Rhinebeck Bank’s strong dedication to community service and involvement Garcia is pleased to be joining the Board. “Deciding to join Rhinebeck Bank was not a difficult decision. Our mission and values align very well in relation to the importance of serving the community. This was just a perfect fit.”

Garcia resides in Poughkeepsie, with his fiancée Amber. They plan to be married later this year. His hobbies include golf, basketball, and spending time with his family.
