PORT JERVIS – Port Jervis Police responded to a 911 call of a male suffering from a stab wound in the area of Riverside Park in Port Jervis about 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Jun. 21.
Port Jervis City Police Officers assisted by members of the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department and the New York State Police-Greenville Barracks, responded to the area and located a 19-year-old male suffering from stab wounds to the lung, and a 22-year-old male suffering from physical injuries sustained during a physical assault, according to authorities.
Officers additionally located a 44-year-old male on Jersey Avenue suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest, face, abdomen and torso.
The inured persons were transported to Bon Secours Community Hospital via Port Jervis Ambulance and Police Vehicle for emergency treatment.
Both victims suffering stab wounds were transferred to Westchester Medical Center via medivac for life threatening injuries.
The 22-year-old male was treated for injuries sustained during the physical assault and released.
At this time, Port Jervis Police has arrested a 19-year-old female in relation to the stabbing incidents and a 21-year-old male for his involvement in the physical assault. Police have not released any names at this time.
Police said no suspects are at large at this time and the investigation is continuing.
The investigation is being conducted by the Port Jervis Police Department with the assistance of the New York State and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
