KINGSTON – Ulster County Director of Tourism Richard Remsnyder announces that Ulster County Tourism has received a Bronze Telly Award for its video “Golf in Ulster County,” in the category of Travel/Tourism.
The video features interviews with golf course owners and golf pros, in addition to highlighting some of the breathtaking views offered at Ulster County’s 12 golf courses.
“The ‘Golf in Ulster County’ video showcases the world-class golf courses we have throughout Ulster County,” Remsnyder said. “Receiving the Telly Award is a reflection of the hard work and creativity of the entire team that worked on it, and this video is a great marketing tool which allows residents and visitors to get a glimpse of our amazing county.”
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards recognize outstanding video and film productions, television commercials and online video advertisements. The Telly Awards included more than 13,000 entries from all 50 states and a number of different countries, with the Silver Telly Council, consisting of more than 500 accomplished industry professionals, deciding on the winners. Those honored represent the best work of top marketing and advertising agencies, production companies, TV stations, cable operators and corporate video organizations on a global scale.
This is the fourth Telly Award for Ulster County Tourism; Ulster County was also honored in 2016 with Bronze Telly for “Taste of Craft Beverages,” and in 2012 received both a Silver Telly for a “Things To Do” video and a Bronze Telly for a “Places To Stay” video.
Ulster County Tourism has also recently received two honors from the Service Industry Advertising Awards (SIAA), accepting a gold award in the category of “Total Ad Campaign” for the popular “You See/U.C.” campaign. For the Ulster County Tourism Travel Guide books (produced in collaboration with Luminary Media, a leading Hudson Valley publisher and marketing agency), UCT earned a bronze award in 2015-2016 and a silver award in 2016-2017 for publication and distribution of the Ulster County Tourism Travel Guide.
In developing the video, Ulster County Tourism worked with Ellenbogen Creative Media of Kingston.
