WICCOPEE –  It was Valentine’s Day in May.  On Wednesday, John Jay senior pitcher hurled a 21 up, 21 down game against rival Ketcham to even the season series at one game a piece with a 2-0 win.  Game three of the series plays at Ketcham today at 4:15.

Jay was able to figure out Ketcham’s number one hurler, Ryan Murphy, this time around by scoring two runs off hits by Steven Shoen, and Tommy DiRusso,  Shoen hit a double to right to put runners at 2nd and 3rd.  DiRusso drove in John Tuchillo with a base hit, and Shoen scored when Nick Staton hit into a fielder’s choice.

Ketcham won the first meeting between these two Wappingers Central School District teams 2-1, at Dutchess Stadium, last week.
