POUGHKEEPSIE — More than 1.5 million people across six counties in the mid-Hudson Valley have access to clinical research trials offered by Health Quest’s Division of Clinical Research.
The division will host an open house for the public to learn more about these trials from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, May 22, in the Dyson Center for Cancer Care at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie.
Clinical trials span a variety of specialties, including cardiology, oncology and neurology.
“Participation in clinical research offers benefits that transcend the typical patient experience. It engenders educational and supportive elements of healthcare that is often inopportune in the standard clinical encounter,” said Dr. Ernest Roos, director of Health Quest’s Division of Clinical Research. “It empowers patients to directly impact the future of medical treatment. Such patient-focused healthcare services can dramatically change the outlook of population health in the mid-Hudson Valley.”
Light refreshments will be served. Call (845) 483-6304 for more information (TTY 1-800-421-1220).
