Paula Young hosts “Public House” – intimate conversations with people making a difference in the Hudson Valley.
Paula’s Public House in Poughkeepsie recently opened on the site of the well-known Mulligan’s Irish House in the Red Oaks Mill section of town. It’s proprietor, Paula Young, has completely re-imagined the old, dark Irish pub into a bright, homey, comfortable pub and bar with a “food is love”-conceived menu.
Paula’s Public House is also the setting for “Public House”, a series of intimate conversations with people making a difference in the Hudson Valley. This segment was recorded in front of the restaurant’s beautiful stone fireplace. Paula’s guest is Hudson Valley resident Ed Cheetham.
Ed is the Producing Director for Powerhouse Theater, the Summer theater production collaboration between Vassar College and New York Stage and Film. Powerhouse Theater helps playwrights develop their work and creates opportunities to tryout that work in front of an audience. Ed tells Paula Young all about this year’s program in their interview.
