MONROE – The New York State Police in Monroe arrested Marc Miller, age 46, of Nanuet on April 16, 2017, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, both misdemeanors, and felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – with a Child (Leandra’s Law).
According to authorities, Miller was arrested after numerous calls to State Police about an erratic driver on State Route 17.
Troopers located Miller at a local gas station in the Town of Chester.
In the back seat of the vehicle was a child under the age of 15, said authorities.
While being interviewed by Troopers, Miller allegedly appeared to be disoriented and impaired. A probable cause search of the vehicle allegedly yielded cocaine, said authorities.
Miller, an off duty Spring Valley police officer was processed at SP Monroe without incident and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Chester Court at a later date.
