WHITE PLAINS – James Staudt, a partner in the law firm of at McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt, LLP in White Plains, was recently a guest speaker at the 79th Annual New York Planning Federation Conference in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The conference is recognized as one of the premier training programs in the state, offering certification credit to planning board and Zoning Board of Appeals members through in-depth sessions on basic and advanced planning and zoning.

Presenters discussed relevant municipal issues including green energy, design standards, agriculture and open space protection, downtown revitalization, case law, and ethics. Staudt co-presented a session with Frank Fish, FAICP, of BJF Planning and Jody T. Cross of Zarin & Steinmetz, focused on the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA) and Zoning.

Staudt, a resident of Larchmont, heads McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt firm’s municipal practice group which includes representation of the Villages of Larchmont, Croton-on-Hudson, Bronxville and Mamaroneck as their Counsel, and representation of a number of other municipalities, including the Villages of Scarsdale and Ossining as Special Counsel.

Staudt has practiced land use and real estate law throughout eastern New York including representation of religious institutions and municipalities in RLUIPA cases, and has regularly lectured on RLUIPA and other land use topics.
