Topfield Equestrian Center Brings the Kentucky Derby to Hudson ValleyTopfield Equestrian Center (TEC), the therapeutic riding center in Cold Spring, is inviting friends and neighbors to its very first Kentucky Derby fundraising event.  All are welcome to join TEC on Saturday, May 6th at 4:30 p.m. for the most thrilling two minutes in sports–The 143rd Running of the Roses–The Kentucky Derby!

More than just a horse race, the Derby is a tradition dating back to 1875. That’s a lot of parties, and TEC is throwing one, so mark your calendars and join TEC for its first networking and fundraising event of the 2017 campaign.

Taking place on the beautiful grounds of Stonecrop Gardens in Cold Spring and boasting awe-inspiring views of the majestic Hudson River Valley, TEC has made sure that this event has it all: local bourbon tastings, traditional mint julips, mouthwatering authentic southern style fare, and live coverage of the race on multiple big screen TV’s. With door prizes, raffles, officially licensed Derby memorabilia and on-site OTB wagering machines, chances are you won’t leave this event empty handed.

Without the generous support of TEC’s benefactors and community partners, Topfield Equestrian Center would be unable to continue providing the community with the types of programs that are changing lives every day. TEC offers an environment where people with Topfield Equestrian Center Brings the Kentucky Derby to Hudson Valleydisabilities can overcome physical, psychological and emotional barriers. Through equine-assisted activities, both on horseback and the ground, TEC brings joy and abilities to its clients. Fundraising is large part of how we’re able to secure the funding and support necessary but who says that fundraising can’t be done in a big colorful hat.
