County Executive Astorino invites you to learn how to get the most of your exercise at the Mall Walk program on Friday, April 7.
White Plains – County Executive Robert P. Astorino invites walkers to learn about the best ways to maximize their exercise at the Mall Walk program on Friday, April 7, 9 a.m. at The Westchester, Food Court on Level 4, in White Plains.
According to Astorino, “This special program will help anybody who wants to make the most of their exercise program. The popular mall walks are designed to help Westchester residents stay fit with one of the simplest forms of exercise – walking.”
Sara Marsico, the director at Access Physical Therapy and Wellness in Hawthorne, will discuss benefits of stretching before and after walking, exercises to help increase endurance and suggestions to alleviate pain from over-exertion. Marisco specializes in orthopedic physical therapy.
Sponsored by Westchester County Parks, this program offers year-round indoor health walking at The Westchester on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. To join, sign up at the horse fountain plaza near Crate & Barrel on Retail Level Two, on Tuesday and Friday mornings during the program.
Admission and parking are free for members of the Mall Walk program.
