Paula Young hosts “Public House” – intimate conversations with people making a difference in the Hudson Valley.
Paula’s Public House in Poughkeepsie recently opened on the site of the well-known Mulligan’s Irish House in the Red Oaks Mill section of town. It’s proprietor, Paula Young, has completely re-imagined the old, dark Irish pub into a bright, homey, comfortable pub and bar with a “food is love”-conceived menu.
Paula’s Public House is also the setting for “Public House”, a series of intimate conversations with people making a difference in the Hudson Valley. This segment was recorded in front of the restaurant’s beautiful stone fireplace. Paula’s guest is Hudson Valley resident, John Hall, musician and co-founder of the band “Orleans” – and, John is a former US Congressman.
John Hall is also a passionate environmentalist and community activist. He recently published Still The One: A Rock’n’Roll Journey to Congress and Back. Today, on “Public House”, John performs a new original song, Who Gave You The Right. Learn more about John Hall at his website, johnhallmusic.com.
