Two Arrested Following No Knock Search Warrant

PORT JERVIS – Members of the Port Jervis Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group executed a Port Jervis City Court ‘no knock’ endorsed search warrant at 10 Prospect Street apartment in the City of Port Jervis.

A search of the residence turned up alleged bundles of heroin, US Currency, Suboxone films, a digital scale, and a switchblade knife.

Police arrested Brandon Rivera and Heather Callas, both 22 years old and residents of the apartment.

They were charged each with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree and Criminal Possession

of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, class A misdemeanors, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a class B felony.

The felony charge alleges that Rivera and Callas possessed the narcotic drug heroin with the intent.

Rivera and Callas were arraigned in Port Jervis City Court before the Honorable James M. Hendry III, City Court Judge.

They were remanded on cash bail to the custody of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office pending further court proceedings. Rivera had bail set at $10,000 and Callas had bail set at $1,000.

  1. How many times are these same kids going to be arrested for drug charges, before they’re forced to go to rehab and get REAL help? They’re simply product of a bad environment, and its really unfortunate. They’ve been let off easy several times (this is not the first time I’ve seen these faces), and the truly need help before the good old H does what she’s known best for! They have children they should be living for!
