EAST FISHKILL – A 52-year-old woman has reportedly died in a two-alarm structure fire Saturday night on Augusta Drive, according to East Fishkill Police.

Just after 7 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2017, police and fire crews responded to home fully engulfed with flames at 374 Augusta Drive.

An officer located two occupants of the house, a 47-year-old man and his son, age 17, that both resided on the lower level of the home, said authorities.

The homeowner, who was believed to be home at the time, had not been located.

Once the East Fishkill Fire Department, assisted by mutual aid companies, brought the second-alarm fire under control, they searched the home and located the homeowner’s body.

Police are not releasing the victim’s name pending notification of family.

The fire is under investigation by East Fishkill Fire Dept. and Dutchess County Fire Investigation teams along with East Fishkill Police Detectives and the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Occupants of the house are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
