Negativity Leads to Negative Results

What you think about, you bring about.

Another way to say it: Your focus determines your results.

Those that are successful in sales have an attitude of achievement.  They know they will be successful no matter what obstacles they face.

It is extremely difficult to become a top producer when your thoughts are negative.

All new salespeople will go through scenarios that make it hard to stay positive. Deals fall through to more experienced competitors, prospects tell them “no” hundreds of times, and the ones who can’t move past this will have a tough time with longevity in this business.

There is an old saying:  Your attitude determines your altitude in life and in selling. This is such a fundamental asset for successful selling and dealing with all types of objections and obstacles.

It’s impossible to have a great day with a bad attitude. It’s also impossible to have a bad day with a great attitude.

Where does a positive attitude come from or how do you develop one?

  1.  If  you are negative about your sales, learn to be thankful for the fact that you have the opportunity of a job and to make money based on  your productivity, not just an hourly wage.
  2. Find out what is it that is really making you negative.
  • Is it your results?
  • Is it the process you are going through to close your sales?
  • Do you not like sales?
  • Is it your personal life?

Once you know the true reason you are unhappy then ask what would have to change to make you feel better about it?

You can turn your negativity into positivity by giving yourself a path to success that you believe in.

They key to all of this is that you have to WANT TO change your negative perspective to a positive one.

You have much to be thankful for and happy about.
